This is the Trembucker (F-spaced) version of the 6-string Nazgûl. Take your guitar to the center of the earth! By combining a large ceramic magnet with custom winding specs, the Nazgûl offers the perfect blend of note articulation, saturation and one of the most brutal “chugs” you’ll ever hear from a humbucker. It has incredible harmonic content across all frequency ranges, and an insanely tight bass response. The Nazgûl has a seriously aggressive high gain sound that is lively, yet completely controllable.

Trembuckers have wider pole piece spacing, perfect for symmetrical positioning under the strings of guitars with a tremolo or wide spaced hard tail bridge (2” or wider from the center of the Low E to High E directly over the bridge pickup).

With more than twice the power of a traditional Stratocaster single-coil, the Quarter Pound Flat has a fat, punchy tone with plenty of top end sparkle. The hand polished, diameter alnico 5 magnets are matched with a larger, more powerful coil winding to deliver sparkly midrange harmonics, great sustain, and big, full chords, making this one of our most popular single-coil pickups. Use an SSL-4 in the neck and bridge position, with an SSL-4 RWRP in the middle for a complete set.The bobbins are hand built, and wax potted for squeal free performance. We use modern oval Forbon flatwork (non-triangular) which enables this pickup to fit into any guitar that is routed for single coils.

The Sentient neck delivers a balanced, versatile tone that fits right between the ’59 model and the Jazz neck pickup. You’ll get pristine cleans for intricate chordal and single note runs with fluid leads under high gain. The Sentient is a vintage output pickup with great dynamic response and a wide harmonic range. It works great for low tunings in all humbucker-equipped guitars.

Hand built in our Santa Barbara, CA, factory, the Pegasus and Sentient feature an alnico 5 bar magnet, nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and are vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance.

When Slash was given the honor of having a Gibson Les Paul Signature model built, we sent over the same Alnico 2 Pro humbuckers that he has used for decades. Turns out, the new guitars sounded noticeably different than the original. So we accepted the challenge to make him a new pickup that would make all of his new signature guitars sound just like the original AFD Les Paul. The result is the Slash Signature Model humbucker. We used a different mag wire and winding spec, that, when combined with the alnico 2 bar magnet, provided exactly what was needed to push a stock Les Paul toward that familiar sustain, crunch, and midrange that was so characteristic of the tone of Slash’s original Derrig Les Paul copy.The Slash humbucker set is hand built in Santa Barbara the same way we built his originals in the 80s, using a nickel silver bottom plate with long mounting legs, single conductor braided lead wire, maple spacer, paper tape, and wax potting.

Our Vintage Staggered for Stratocaster uses hand ground alnico 5 rod magnets and heavy Formvar magnet wire with a special wind pattern to produce that bright, glassy, bell tone with all of the bounce and sparkle youd expect from the best 50s Strat pickups. The treble attack is crisp and immediate, while the low end remains articulate and focused. Chords ring out with clear note to note separation. Use a full set for a truly vintage vibe, or use in the neck & middle with a Custom Staggered in the bridge for a more rocking setup.Since 1978, weve been building all of our vintage Fender style single coil pickups just as it was done in Fenders Golden age. We start with the right color and thickness of Forbon flatwork, with the traditional keyed bottom plate. Then we hand file the flatwork, assemble with hand ground magnets, and lacquer the bobbin. After winding, each pickup is wax potted to reduce unwanted squeal, and comes with waxed and tinned cloth pushback hook-up wires and traditional keyed bottom plate.
