The Duncan Distortion Trembucker is the F-spaced version of our original high output humbucker. It incorporates a massive ceramic magnet and hot coil windings to deliver well-balanced rock and metal tones that have rih upper midrange harmonic content. Great for hard hitting, crunchy rhythms, and searing lead tone. Pair it with the SH-6n Distortion neck pickup, or with the SH-2n Jazz, or SH-1n 59 model for a versatile combo. Pair with the Jazz neck model for a versatile humbucker setup, or use the Duncan Distortion neck model for the a killer high output setup.Trembuckers have wider pole piece spacing, perfect for symmetrical positioning under the strings of guitars with a tremolo or wide spaced hard tail bridge (2 or wider from the center of the Low E to High E directly over the bridge pickup). Hand built in our Santa Barbara, CA factory, the Duncan Distortion Trembucker uses a large ceramic bar magnet, nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance.
The Blackouts Metal humbucker is the reincarnation of our original LiveWire Metal humbucker. With its infamous brain melting output level and headroom, this pickup is so hot that we added a feature that gives you access to a second, moderate, output level. The Blackouts Metal comes from the factory with a slide-on shunt connecting the two pins. Simply remove the shunt and the pickup will be in moderate output mode. You can also run the two pins to a pushpull or mini-toggle switch so you can switch between the two output levels for a built-in boost switch. This pickup is thick and crunchy, and will provide a massively saturated distortion tone with tons of string sensitivity. Lock in with the double bass and lay waste to those who stand before youComes with pots, hardware, quick-connector cables, capacitor (active pickups require a special cap value), output jack, battery clip, and wire needed for installation. If your guitar already has active pickups with quick-connector cables installed, you should be able to simply unplug them and plug in your Blackouts.
This is the Trembucker (F-spaced) version of our Screamin Demon humbucker. The idea was to create a pickup that had the articulate airiness of an old-school PAF, but with more growl and sizzle. We used slightly overwound coils, an alnico 5 bar magnet, and used a mix of pole pieces that included one row of standard adjustable screws, and one row of shorter Allen head screw. What you get is a big, open tone, with a treble emphasis that keeps your pick attack sounding articulate at any level of distortion. Pair with the 59 neck or Jazz neck humbuckers for a great setup.Trembuckers have wider pole piece spacing, perfect for symmetrical positioning under the strings of guitars with a tremolo or wide spaced hard tail bridge (2 or wider from the center of the Low E to High E directly over the bridge pickup).
