59 Bridge SH-1B 4 Conductor
59 Bridge SH-1B 4 Conductor

Summary

The 59 Model bridge pickup is a full sounding, versatile PAF style humbucker with an articulate treble attack, full bottom end, and scooped midrange.

Description

The 59 bridge model is great for all types of rock and blues. We designed these vintage style coils to give it an airy quality that keep this pickup planted firmly in the PAF family. The alnico 5 bar magnet, and vacuum wax potting have been added to compensate for lighter guitar strings and louder amplifiers than were ever used in the 50s. The result is a pickup with tons of old-school tonal character, but with a brighter top end, and a more compressed sound. Pair with the 59 neck model for an evenly balanced output and tone.In addition to the alnico 5 magnet and wax potting, we hand build the 59 Model with a variety of traditional vintage treatments, such as 42AWG plain enamel mag wire, long legged nickel silver bottom plate, modern 4 conductor braided push back lead wire, and no logo. As with all of our PAF style pickups, the 59 Model is wound on Seymours old Leesona winder from the early Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, MI.

Summary

A set of our active Blackouts humbuckers will turn any guitar into a heavy metal behemoth.

Description

This is a neckbridge set of our original high-output active Blackouts humbuckers. The perfect choice for metal players looking for warm complex chording and singing leads, the original Blackouts neck practically cries out for two-handed shred and thick rhythm playing. Its extended frequency response and organic feel make this a great humbucker for those who demand both responsiveness and the true tonal character of their guitar to shine through. The original Blackouts bridge humbucker delivers all of the power and full bodied punch that todays metal players demand from an active pickup. You get the high output signal level of an active pickup, with more of an organic feel and open tonal response that allows the character of your guitar to come through. The treble and bass response is extended beyond the range of traditional active pickups, and has been carefully balanced with a slightly scooped midrange for the perfect crunch. This pickup excels at screaming pinched harmonics and hyper-speed riffage with responsive dynamics across the entire fretboard.Comes with pots, hardware, quick-connector cables, capacitor (active pickups require a special cap value), output jack, battery clip, and wire needed for installation. If your guitar already has active pickups with quick-connector cables installed, you should be able to simply unplug them and plug in your Blackouts.

Summary

Relentless. Only for those serious metal players who will accept nothing less than our highest output active bridge pickup.

Description

The Blackouts Metal humbucker is the reincarnation of our original LiveWire Metal humbucker. With its infamous brain melting output level and headroom, this pickup is so hot that we added a feature that gives you access to a second, moderate, output level. The Blackouts Metal comes from the factory with a slide-on shunt connecting the two pins. Simply remove the shunt and the pickup will be in moderate output mode. You can also run the two pins to a pushpull or mini-toggle switch so you can switch between the two output levels for a built-in boost switch. This pickup is thick and crunchy, and will provide a massively saturated distortion tone with tons of string sensitivity. Lock in with the double bass and lay waste to those who stand before youComes with pots, hardware, quick-connector cables, capacitor (active pickups require a special cap value), output jack, battery clip, and wire needed for installation. If your guitar already has active pickups with quick-connector cables installed, you should be able to simply unplug them and plug in your Blackouts.

Check out our support page for details regarding build time .Thanks Our current 5150 neck is considered by many replica builders to be the most accurate rendition available for order of the famous hand cut Kramer 5150 style banana neck  and here at Butala Custom Guitars we don't believe in a one size fits all when it comes to guitar necks so it's fully customizable to get you your favorite specs while still looking like the original. Our 5150 comes with the correct spec headstock , tuner layout and “skunk stripe” on its rear as well as an available dual action truss rod with vintage slotted adjuster located at the heel that is installed in the correct location to look just like the original. The Beak to 5150 conversion option is true to the original that started life as a Beak or Strathead neck. The tuner holes are filled and additional material is added to the headstock in order to be reshaped into the 5150 style headstock. The main difference between our version and the original is that we use the same material ie. maple  that the neck is made from for the additional headstock material. Due to limited availability of larger size quartersawn maple at this time all banana style headstocks will no longer be one piece but will have the headstock made by laminating additional quartersawn maple to the side or sides of the headstock. Material used for additional material will be from the same piece of wood to try and match color and grain pattern to be as close as possible. This order form is for a 22 fret neck constructed from a neck shaft which features an attached fingerboard (2-piece neck)

Fat Brass L Sustain Block
Fat Brass L Sustain Block
Official Floyd Rose L Shaped Fat Brass upgradable Sustain Blocks for Floyd Rose Tremolo units. Studies have shown that Mass = Sustain. The all new Fat Brass "L" shaped sustain blocks by Floyd Rose have been specifically designed to take advantage of the unused area under the tremolo arm. By incorporating an additional "L" shape of brass to the design of a stock sustain block, Floyd Rose has been able to utilize this previously unused space for additional mass which equates to more sustain and additional tonal qualities of brass. Brass has been a much desired material for guitar luthiers dating back to the invention of the instrument; it is notorious for increasing warmth and clarity simultaneously, a rare combination. While greatly strengthening chord clarity and beefing up individual notes, it also greatly improves resonance, especially in the midrange of the instrument. All of these improvements are accompanied with the undeniably vintage sound and feel of this time-tested material. Since this block is larger than a conventional sustain block, it can also limit upward travel of the tremolo and can be set to rest against the body in a blocked bridge configuration. For floating bridge setup this block may require some routing in the spring cavity.
